I run a Baggger Brace. Nice product with good fit and finish. Made a noticeable difference in high speed sweepers.

I haven't had any experience with the others but to me the Bagger Brace was worth every cent.

Glide Pro

The GlidePro mod treats the problem not the symptom. My 2003 Road King handles and tracks like my old FXR did, which is something I never thought I could accomplish with the platform.

true-track is on a distinguished road
True-Track is the creator of the original stabilizer and the strongest design on the market - with 14 years of experience unlike all others. True-Track is a 15 minute install, no jack required, maximum ground clearance - guaranteed no lean angle loss. Suggested for your SG is the Low Ryder model on sale at $305. free shipping included. No added stress on the frame and a re-inforced cross member for jacking the bike when necessary.

Wobble Cure is on a distinguished road
I run a true-track and man what a difference in handling. Not only is this product precision made with top quality material as well but is easy to install. No more rain goove movement that felt like I had a flat tire. Plus I can throttle through any sweeper with no more wobble of disconcerning feeling. Best investment I made as well.

Rick
I am 100% pleased with my Bagger Brace. I run the product and I have seen it made and met the makers at their manufacturing location.

No, it is not a 15 minute install, I took about 40 minutes with mine but well worth every dollar and minute.

Question for True Track

I have just raised my '08 SG by using 13 1/4" shocks will the model that incorporates the Baker plus 1 pan work?

I put the True track on my 07' SG, And the difference was like getting on a new bike. One of the best mods I have done!

One of the things I like about the Bagger Brace which I don't see on the other braces of this type is the way it ties the frame rails together. All the braces of this type have 2 pieces on the top of the dog bone which fit into the large holes. The longer piece is bolted to them on the bottom tying it all together. The bagger brace goes one important step further (IMHO) . The top pieces are not round like the others. They are a machined piece which not only fits down in the holes but was designed to fit tight against the frame rails. The way I see it this serves to tie the frame rails together much more solidly.

One other area where I think the BB is superior to the others of this type is the piece that attaches to the tranny. A couple of the braces of this type use very long bolts through long spacers welded to a flat plate to attach to the tranny. The BB uses a nicely machined frame which fits up snug around the oil pan with 4 short bolts and 2 long bolts. Do the other braces work well, I suppose they would and some are cheaper and some are more. I just happen to like the construction of this one as compared to the others.

The frame mounted type are all designed to do the same thing. Pick one and install it. True track is the original design.

Nightman,

Based on your statement, I'm assuming your bike just started this little wobble. If that's so, before adding on one of the stabilizers, I'd spend the time trying to determine what has changed, gotten worn, needs adjustment, tires, swingarm, motor mounts, etc.

If it didn't do it before and now it does, there is a problem. Better to fix it than mask it with a stabilizer. JMHO

All of these devices provide about the same end result and do take out a majority of the tail-wagging behavior of the older touring frame (pre-'09), but IMO the best design keeps the hardware up and clear of any possible contact with the pavement. Back in July '08 I installed the Ride Str8, which at the time was the only device available that didn't infringe upon ground clearance or lean angle. It also doesn't fill the frame crossmember that some of us use to jack the bike, and is a very clean, simple design.

Since then there have been other devices enter the market, and if I had to do it again I would probably buy the Progressive Touring Link stabilizer. At only $200 it may be the best buy in the group, and since it attaches high on the oil pan there is no problem with clearance.
