Which one would you buy?
What is the better deal? 2006 Electra Classic with rear speakers, lowers, cruise control and only 1100 miles for $16k or a 2009 Ultra Classic fully loaded (was a dealer rental) with 9000 miles for $19k.

with all the new upgrades to the 2009, that'd be my choice.
here's another option for you. I just was looking online at the dealer I go to. they have a 2009 classic. just under 1000 miles. for $20,639. but here's the kicker, they're giving $2,500 in store credit to buy accessories. you could add the front lowers and whatever else you wanted. the bikes basically brand new. I think they let you buy clothing, use it towards service, heck you could add some horsepower for that.

Neither. For just a tad bit more you could pick up a 2010!!! If you wait until winter you could probably get a 2010 Ultra for MSRP at $20,999!!!No way would I pay 19K for a 2009 with that many miles!!!

Neither one of those is a good deal. I would PASS on them both.

How good of a deal it is depends on where you live and what the dealerships in the area normally sell at. Some areas you are lucky to get MSRP - our dealership used to sell over that and if you wanted a HD that's what you paid. Currently you pay MSRP and get 1000 - 2000 in accessories and you deal on your trade in. Used is a bit different but they still sell high (used unless you buy from a private party).

I would look for a left over 2009. I know early in 2009, I paid under MSRP for my wife's Heritage soft tail, and a MSRP for a CVO road glide. I also know same place is selling 2010's for MSRP now and less on the 09's....

usally not that bad as I don't typically rent performace cars but I get your point.
I should point out that I will be building the motor out so not overly concerned with miles but I know if I buy the bike from the dealer and the dealer does the build they will cover it so that is why I want to buy froma dealer an not private.

It is just money, buy a 2010 or the 09. Not that it handles great but it is lightyear better than the crap before 2009. Dont get one older than 2009 if you value handling (Or close to at least)
