Lower wind deflector pics FINALLY

I couldnt find the link for the other thread so im starting a new one..
Heres the clear lower wind deflectors I made for my EGC.. I finally got to test them yesterday on a 150 mile run here. The weather was great so 3 of us took off for the afternoon and it was my first ride with these and I really needed to test them. This is something im possibly going to market if there is enuff interest. They wont fit an ultra unless you make some cut outs for the lowers but there are other models they will fit. Another no go is the street glide with the way their turn signals mount but if I get a chance ill look at one closer and try mine on one.. Ill have to look again at what ones they should fit and ill do that later today or tomorrow.. Anyway on the test ride they worked great . I had very little wind coming up around me and the dash area. These along with the chrome deflector under the forks cut down the buffeting in a big way..
Im gonna toss some pics up here but I wont be able to see them as im not a paying member and I have no job so I wont be . Any questions pm me and if you pm me your email i have more pics i can send you . Oh ya before someone screams spam hey this has been discussed 1000 times and i finally got off my azz and made my prototypes ... These arent the easiest to make . They require a good sheet metal brake and although I used my saber saw if i was gonna market them id buy a nice band saw.. Now ... Riding season is about over here but we do get some nice days in November.. If we do ill be able to test some more but I do have an extra set I made that have some scratches (small) and flaws in them that if someone is in a warmer climate and would like to test a set for me we cad discuss that also..

One of the few things that annoys me about my SG is that blast of air coming around the forks that I can't get deflectors for, I've thought that if it wasn't for the angled piece at the top of the deflectors I could reverse them and mount them under the signal mounts. If you come up with one that works I'd be interested in a set.

you can always create your own path to photoabucket and we can all see them and you will be able to share them better. I think we all know about the jobs--me too.

well if you reversed them they would hit the engine guard when you turn because they will be set back more . Mine actually do that but since its lexan and just hits the edge at full turn its no big deal.. I dont know anyone with a S/G but ill sure be looking for one to see what I can come up with.. I wonder about a hole or cutout for the turn signals too.. That would still give the full coverage but allow you to bolt them on!.. Ill look into it .

Those LITTLE things work that well? I'm surprised!

SCIENCE!!!!!

Thanks for posting pics for us freeloaders.

Good for you, they really aren't noticeable at all. Gotta be nice to get rid of some more icy wind.

Hey thanks for posting the pics ... Really I can get along with out them but since on my old shadow sabre with the national cycle windshield it needed them and I made a set and they really helped it out. When I saw the other thread that was started here and saw there was an interest in them I decided to make a set for my bike and go from there.. I think in smoke they would show up more . You could also paint the back side of them for an even different look. As long as they are mounted on mine ill test them as much as I can and like i said they do make a big difference but its what a person wants. Some want a deal like this some dont others could just care less .. I really never liked the looks of the H/D chrome ones as to me it adds too much to the front of the bike.. Anyway again thanks and I owe ya 1 ..
