i have a 2006 rk with a terminal velocity system and vance hines true duels. the bike started breaking down on acceleration 2nd gear 2200rpm to 3rd gear 2900 rpm and at 50 mph it doesn't run smooth. have checked all connections, vac lines,vent lines,the fuel system shows it is ok. i am looking for any info anybody might have,has anybody had this issue ?
My 2006 FLHTCU was running like crap two weeks ago, I checked every thing in the book that I knew how to do. I had a 115 miles on #2 tank of gas .So I got on the free way and run all the gas out that I could 4.7 out of 5.0 gal. Went and added Star Tron cures ethanol problems to the tank. Then went to a different gas station filled it up went back on the free way for 5 miles came home and no more problems at all. It was bad gas and I had cussing my bike for two weeks. So then I went down to the gas station and told the owner that he had bad gas, and need to test it. He gave me that I don't care look on his face. So I informed him I would tell all motorcycle shops in our area to not fill up with his shite gas. he got P OFF. So now my bike run good 40,000 miles and going. Gene
Two Things Can Cause Your Problem. A Cracked Fuel Pressure Reg Mount In The Gas Tank -check Fuel Pressure Should Be A Constant 55 Psi While Running. 2nd- Engine Temp Sensor Both Problems Won't Always Trip A Trouble Code
