Warranty Info?

Hey guys/gals

What does the factory warranty cover on the bikes?

I have a 2008 SG, I got it July 2008 .

I was cleaning my bike and the front fender on the back of it at the bottom the pAint just came off when I was wipping it off. It is like thier was a build up in the paint there at the bottom and that chunk just came off.

So I am wondering if the fender/paint is covered?

someone is going to have to look at it and determine why thepaint came off...if it appears to be a defect in materials and/or workmanship it should be covered...if it is determined that it was contamination of some sort or damaged iot would not...

and now for the "youre gonna get screwed" responses....

Harley will warranty paint problems - you need to convince your dealer that it is actually a defect.

I had a distinct crack in the paint underneath the clear coat on my rear fender that showed up about 2 months after I bought my Lowrider in 2005. It took some convincing but they did take care of it under warranty.

Probably going to be a judgement call with your dealer. If it's obvious that the paint slid off as a result of a defect then it should be covered. Good luck.
