Compared to the stock bars, I don't think the WO575's have 13" of pull-pack. It must be the way they are measured. In actual use, I think the tips of the bars come back about 4" further than the stock bars. Bear in mind they are noticeably wider and the grips are angled slightly differently. I'd be more than happy to provide pictures if you think it would help.
And $650 for the WO575s is a bit misleading. I didn't spend near that much as my indy gave me a some great prices. Plus I didn't really *need* to replace everything that I did, but I didn't want any surprises. For example, I could have used regular old wiring to extend the harnesses so buying the extension kits was defintely not needed. I probably could have gotten away with using the stock idle / throttle cables. The clutch cable had to be replaced because it simply would not reach. I initially tried to reuse the stock brake lines by re-bending the upper line that goes to the master cylinder, but I wasn't able to. If it had another inch in length on it, I'd have been good to go.
As far as the ABS brakes and/or throttle-by-wire, I couldn't offer any help; My bike is an '06 and doesn't have such things.

Yea, I'm confused as i have yet to see either on a bike. I know several folks have commented they love one or the other. From the comments I've seen it appears the 575s don't come as far back as the sweepers. Even to the point where some have said they don't come back (in installed position) much at all. Is that true?

The Wild 1's web site has some pictures of the 575 bars on bikes. I couldn't find a picture of the sweepers on a bike on their web site. The 575's definitely come back farther than the stock bars - they are also a little bit taller, but the level of the wrist is about the same as stock (maybe a little bit higher).

I visited my local HD dealer this week to check out the possible handlebar options for my Ultra Classic and was told to expect to pay close to $1000 in labor costs! He said it was an all-day job to disassemble the fairing and do all the rewiring, etc. After adding in the cost of the bars and all the new wiring, he quoted me nearly $1800! All I want is some longer bars...!
Does this sound reasonable to y'all? I'm fairly handy, but he cautioned me against trying to do the job myself, especially with the cruise control and the extra problems that may involve...
What do y'all think?

If it was Patriot HD that was about what they quoted me for labor to change out my stock bars to the Wild 1 575's. I ended up getting them done at Whitt's but it still was about 8 hours of labor with the internal wiriing, new clutch and brake lines, and the wiring for handlebar controls for an Air Legend lowering kit. You might want to checkout the link for Ken's installation of these bars if you're handy and have the tools. I think he's pretty handy with a wrench/wiring and did not replace the clutch and brake cables; if I recall correctly it took him about 3 1/2 hours.

Here is why I'm confused about the WO575. On their site they list the following specs for the stock bar on a street glide...
Rise Width Center Pullback
7-1/2" 31" 11-1/2" 12-1/2"
They list the following for the WO575...
Rise Width Center Pullback
10" 34.5" 14" 13"
Only 1/2" of pullback vs. stock? Yes, I suppose I could tilt them back and use the 2.5" of rise difference to get more effective pull back. Is that what people are doing with these bars?

That's what I did when I put the 575's on my Ultra. I rotated them toward me to get the maximum pullback without impacting turning. I'm guessing it got me another 1-1 1/2" shorter reach from stock. However, it will also change your wrist position when you do this. I'm not as pleased with the wrist position as with stock, but I'm no longer reaching for the bars and that has eliminated the upper back pain I was experiencing before changing the bars. I find it easier to change hand position every now and then so my wrists don't get sore.

I just got back from an 8k tour with new PYO Bagger Bars and I love them. My elbows are just slightly bent so they don't lock up any more and my fingers don't go knumb. OH, and that spasm in my back during 800 mile days is gone too!
Check out www.baggernation.com for an alternative. I purchased a "blemished" set to reduce the price.

If it helps, first modification I did when I got my 09 Street Glide was replace stock bars with the Wild 1 W0575 bars. Had dealer install before I received bike. I was not disappointed, they are very comfortable and I highly recommend them to any1 looking to replace stock bars.

I am in the process of having the handlebars changed on my 09 Ultra. Purchased the 575s directly from the Wild One and bought the extention kit from Hill Country Custom Cycles. Have not received the kit yet but it is supposed to be all plug and play even for the throttle and includes the ABS compatible brake line. I have about $220 in the bars and about the same thing in the kit. I'll update everybody on the installation costs which is being done by a local shop(not Harley) when the installation is complete.

Sweepers Or Wild1 575
Torn Between Sweeper +2 Handlebars And Wild1 575. I Have An 08 Sg And Really Don't Want To Change Clutch Cable. Anyone Install Either Of These Using Stock Cables? I Want To Do It Myself But Not Thrilled About Removing Exhaust And Draining Tranny..
