Klockwerks Windshield Vs Cee Baileys

I bought the Klockworks windshield at Myrtle Beach last May, Works much better than the short shield that comes on Street Glides. Looks short, feels like a 10" shield but still got wind buffeting. I just switched to the Cee Bailey's SSC shield today. It's a similar design but wider and taller. Works great. On top of that it was almost half what I paid for the Klockwerks shield. Baileys have been making shields for aircraft and bikes for years. Had them on my BMWs. Check them out.

I bought the dark tint 11" shield. I would say it was about 3" taller than my Klockwerks one. It also extends back toward the rider more which is what I think helps eliminate the buffet effect. They have lots of sizes and tints. IF you want a better pic, send me a PM with your home email, I'll send one.

My Ultra has a 14" Cee Bailey's Super Step Contour and it has eliminated all of the buffeting issues.
Everytime I see someone asking about the Klock Werks windshield I tell them to check out the Cee Bailey's SSC. More sizes, less money and it is the origional, not a second rate knockoff.
rant over

tint

GunnySgt, regarding the tint, is the dark tint an issue with the night riding? Have you had and experience with a clear view, I am between a clear view and the Cee baily's ?

Thanks

The beauty of the 11 inch is I can still see over the shield so the tint is no issue at all. The style of the Bailey and the way it folds back toward the rider makes in easy to see over but acts like it's much taller the way it directs the wind over your head. With a stock Harley style flat shield, it's way in front of you and the dark tint could be a problem since you would have to look thru it rather than over it.

The SSCs are measured differently than conventional windshields. An 11" HD shield has a different height than an 11" SSC. The website explains how to choose the right size.
I'm 5'10" and the Mustang seat raises me up an inch or so. I look over the top of the 14" SSC with room to spare.

Talking

Baileys SSC's are the best. Had clear on for a couple of years and just put on a dark gray on a black ultra. looks sharp. 5'10" with a mustang seat and I bought the 12". Had a 15" with the road zep seat and it was fine. with the mustang, 15" was at eye level for me and it drove me crazy. Bought a 10" and it was a bit too short. Anyone care to buy a clear shield cheap?
