02flhrci wants to know Dino or Syn?
Question Gasket recommendation

I am looking for help with my options in replacing the primary cover gasket on my '02 RKC. Is there anything out there that works better than OEM? Any suppliers and part #'s are much appreciated.

Thanks for the assistance

Cometics makes a good replacement from what I hear. It's similar in design to the new re-usable (supposedly) gasket HD has out.Part # 34901-94B- $29.20 at my dealer. This gasket is made of aluminum, with rubber molded around the outside edge. I just installed the HD one on my bike last week and was impressed with it, even though I did think it was a bit pricey.

They soaked me for the same gasket. My old one (fiber) was reused 6 times. I thought it was OK but now we get the pricey one. I was however impressed with the new one.
Pull the wick tight and hang on!! S&S 107.

Cometic makes a great one. It's called an AFM gasket and can be ordered directly from Cometic, 1-800-752-9850, ask for Jason Moses in Sales and Marketing. The gasket has an aluminum core with expanded nitrile rubber bonded to it (all over). Cost about $18. I've had one on for 4 months and not a drop or seep or weep. Most time they can also be re-used.
