Not a Badlander. Looks great but not very comfy after 1/2 hour or so.

The police air ride seat can't be beat - it is easily the most comfortable seat I have ever owned.

The cop seat can be modified a little to be set back, but with the air ride, it will never be a low ride. if you try to mount the cop seat directly to the frame, you will have problems opening the bags, especially if they are the police bags.

Yes, the cop seat will put you up a couple inches - but he was asking about comfort. Occasionally, I let all the air out of it to get it down to the frame - when i do, the ride is stiffer, but still comfortable due to the design of the seat. I also have no problems whatsoever opening the bags.

It will take a little longer to install, since you have to mount the swivel and air bladder, but if you get the correct one, everything is a simple bolt on procedure. The stock location for the air reservoir is under the radio tray - but there are several locations on the bike where it can be placed instead.

I removed the air bladder. I just ran the air line to a q/r air valve and mounted it where the stock air valve was at. It leaks around 5 psi a month

I put a Mustang Solo Seat on my RK this summer and kicked myself in the ass. I have had my RK for 2 years and have over 23K on it, this was the first $200 I should have spent on it. I can't believe how much better the Mustang seat feels! Those 650 mile back to back days getting to and from Sturgis would have a lot more enjoyable with the Mustang on.

I have a 1925 style police "tractor" seat set up on springs on my RK. It's heaven.
