Bagger Brace Vs. TWR
Both have good reviews on performance. Now that TWR is having and end of season sale and the unit is $289.00 plus $22.00 shipping it is the same price as the Bagger Brace plus the black anodizing...
For the same money which is better for my 2007 Ultra as far as performance..

Skunk, I recently researched all these units and came down to Glide Pro which is a unit that replaces the internal swingarm rod/bushings. I replaced mine 06 Glide and LOVE IT. The reason I chose this product was because I didn't feel/or was secure with any brace that was secured to the tranmission pan, remember there is alot of movement going back and forth (but that's my opinion). Like I said, I love the Glide Pro, my Glide handles like a champ. I researched the Glide Pro and even spoke with the owner of the company who was selling for 400 dollars, went to Ebay and located a guy out of Florida and he was selling it for 250-275. Any local motorcycle mechanic or/and if your handle can put this unit by yourself. I hope this helped.. just my 2 cents, and I know everyone will agree or/and disagree with soo many of the Brace Products.

I put a Glide-Pro on my King this summer at Sturgis. The owner of the company did the install there for $300. Pretty good deal if you ask me. While I will admit some vibration was added to the bike, it only lets me know that it has definately connected the swing-arm to the bike more securely. After about 2K miles most of that vibration has been eliminated. The bike feels "right" now. I can not profess that one is any better than the other, but the logic behind Glide-pro makes the most sense to me. Go to the web-site and see what you think.

Seems like they ALL do a great job. Everyone seems to like the one they have, which is really great.
Buy the cheapest one, unless you need to spend more. Either way you will be happy

I agree Paladin. I have not seen a single post where the brace didn't work. Not one, about any brand. I have a TWR and I'd swear it's the best thing out there but then again I have not tried any other types/brands. These stabilizer threads have begun to read like oil threads ha ha. Only in this case the best advice is ...
Buy the cheapest one.

I have 15K on my TWR. So I am a TWR bigot. I just like it.
Go with the one one you feel will do the best for you. I would say 90% of the riders could not tell a difference from any of them.

Agreed. I have the Bagger Brace on mine, but I have seen positive comments on most all of them

Something to bear in mind, as well as price, is the ability of some stabilizers (like TWR) to allow for the installation of a center-stand. That's important to me. From what I've read, it seems ALL of these stabilizers are effective.
The Glide-Pro looks very interesting to me and may be the best (though most expensive and labor-intensive to install). That got me thinking -- does anyone know specifically what the MoCo did to the 2009 frames to eliminate the bagger wobble?

Copper,
Finally, MOCO established a bigger/stronger swingarm that works with the motor/transmission. They should have done this along time ago, I can't believe this was never a recall on the touring models. That's why I put in the Glide-Pro immediately and what a difference it made. There is a guy on Ebay selling these for 250-275 instead of 400 dollars, if your interested and I do not intend to be a seller or dealer for anyone. I just want the best for everyone on this site to get their bang for the buck.

I agree Muzzy, and I would think that fixing the problem(glide-pro) rather than fixing the symtoms(brace) would make more sense to me. I've been considering, now I know which way I want to go, I'm gonna fix the problem, Thanks

Do tell?! Do you have a link? I searched and just found one auction, completed or active, for a Glide-Pro and it was just starting at @24.50.

If anyone is interested this is the item number: 320306221503 on ebay, the guys name is Rich. I just spoke with him and he has two left, he will be reposting the items again on Ebay.. Once again, I am not a dealer or seller with/for anyone. Just giving information that we can kind of afford with this BS budget crisis we are all going thru.

Motrhd, your going to love the Glide Pro... It's having a brand new bike.. Like I said before, I spent alot of time researching all these products before I went to Glide Pro. I have read other riders who had bought their brace and rode a friends scooters with a Glide Pro installed and they too have changed over. I totally agree with you regarding fixing the problem which is caused by MOCO lack of knowledge after many complaints of the thinner swingarm axel and the bushings that they installed in Glides,Kings and other scooters. I am not knocking on other brace manufactures, but installing something on the transmission/oil pan while have eventually some consequences due to stress constantly moving back and forth. Why do you think Baker came out with a larger/stronger oil pans that are set up for the braces. I just like to put out the safety issue here (I am not trying or/and being any type of expert with HD/Transmission/or other products) but, just simply common sense to put something internally then external.
Thanks

muzzyydam,
I always believe in going after the true root cause. Don't get me wrong, I am extremely satisfied with my Bagger brace as I like how it cradles the entire pan and the bike handles like a dream with this installed, but the Glide Pro sounds like it goes right for the root cause.
How much more vibration do you feel from the road with the Glide Pro? Is the ride stiffer with this installed?
Steve
