103 kit in an 09 Ultra - EFI options?
Perhaps I'm just too impatient.
I'd like to install the OEM 103 Stage II kit in my new 09 Ultra, but I can't find any information about re-mapping the EFI once the build is complete. The kit is around $700 +/- at Zanottis, but I do not want to spend that much again on an EFI system like the TMax.
I'm not looking for a huge HP gain, just more torque down low. I'd like to keep the stock mufflers if I can, or at lease only make it a little bit louder.
Would the Dealer be able to do a canned download of a map based on the fact that the Stage II kit is factory? I could install it and have them map it and perhaps dyno tune it using the stock EFI unit?
A local builder suggested the "sleeper 103" from zippers with a power commander, but I don't think one is out yet for the 09 Ultra.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

Why not use the SERT or the new TTS to tune your new build???? Stock mufflers are not going to allow any kind of true HP/TQ gains!!!!!! Why even do the build if your not going to allow the bike to breath???You want a bigger kit,but you want the stock mufflers?? Stock mufflers will make the build almost void.Your spending money for a build but getting no gain!!!!!

For '09, the Stage II 103 kit is PN 57564-09. The dealer should have the download for this. There is no dyno tuning; just a reflash of the ECM to load different map developed by HD.
To retain your factory warranty, dealer installation is required, apparently prior to or very shortly after delivery. Since you are doing the work yourself, the warranty issue seems to be off the table. If you go with other components, then the fuel management needs to be addressed, along with the additional cost for dyno tuning.
Many like the Stage II 103 kits. You can get a broader tq curve and more hp using your stock heads with different cams than the SE 255's (such as HQ 500, Woods 6, etc.), and dyno tuning by a good tech will provide good mileage and power, but may prove more costly.

Those are good points, that's why Im asking. I want more power, not more noise. I'll change out the mufflers if I can get some quiet ones.
Suggestions?

I installed a set of Jackpot Mufflers from Fuel Moto last week and put 500+ miles on them over the weekend. I am really happy with them!!! I wanted something pretty quiet but that would let the engine breath and not quite as quiet as stock. The Jackpots have a nice rumble and sound good when you are on it but really quiet down on the highway. Also my seat of the pants dyno seems to think I picked up a little power.
After riding loaded and 2 up all weekend I am thinking a 103 (or a 107) and a mild cam is in my future this winter!!!! I need to get the tq up over 105 or so and I will be happy.

Unless you are getting the basic se 103 kit the kit (Se 103 stage 2) will come with the se 255 cams and 50 state legal mufflers. From the price you quoted you must be getting the basic kit; cylinders, pistons, and ac. If you have had your bike less than 60 days and allow a HD dealership do the work you will keep the warranty. By doing it under 60 days the 103 will be with the factory warranty-2 years.
I have riden both the 110 and the 103. With a proper tune the 103 is almost as strong, remember I am talking about the HD kits.

wichitagreg you might like the SE mufflers that come with the SE Stage II kit. I have never heard them but they gotta be better than the stock ones. If your buying the kit your going to get them anyway so why not wait and try em out?

I'm re-thinking my options. Talked to Jamie at FuelMoto today and ordered a set of Jackpot slip-ons. Will run those a while till fuel management catches up. Then I may let M&M Choppers put on a Zippers "sleeper 103" kit.

I love my Supertrapp SEs that I bought from Fuelmoto.
They have such a beautiful round sound that are nice a quiet when just putting along, but them make a deeper more mellow tone when you open her up. And then letting her throttle down from 3000+ rpm as you let off.. oh my god they sound sweet.
You also get to choose the end caps to your tastes.

I have the SE 103 Stage 2 kit. The mufflers sound pretty good, but a little loader than stock. A nice deep rumble. The same mufflers from the CVO but with different end caps....... Also, I'm able to hear myself think
