Just to let you folks know there are now five orders sitting in my inbox for my center stands. You have reached the 10% discount for all on this list. This is after just two days so I think the 15 units for a 20% discount will be very reasonable to expect.
I was not sure how well this deal would be received but I am delighted in your response to my offer. I should have a tally posted on my website page http://www.wheeldock.com/V-Twin_forum_member.shtml soon but because I am having my IT guy do this for me it will be a day or two from the actual current count. The idea is to give you folks a way to track the progress of the deal.
Thanks to all.

Another order placed.
Sure could have used this Saturday when my factory tire with 6,544 miles on it developed 3 sidewall bubbles at 80 mph. Talk about wobble!!
Can't wait to get a picture of the Ultra sitting upright in the garage with the new Smart Fortwo's parked sideways. Talk about getting the most from your available storage

The Group Buy Update
The count is 9 units so far for the group buy.
The forum IT folks got my new button and banner ads updated today and you can now just click on these as they pop up to go to your page on my site to check the status of the deal. I am confident we will be shipping center stands sooner than Dec.1st.
Thanks again to all who have signed up...

Wow! I hadn't looked at this thread in a while, look what we got started. I just emailed my order. I saw this item at Street Vibrations in Reno, it preformed as advertised and looked good folded up.

bgfish2 you are in for one center stand and you are number 10 on the list so we are just 5 short of the goal.
Thanks,

Sounds like a run on WheelDoc.. What is the benifit of having a centerstand that does not get the rear tire off the ground? I have a centerstand that actually gets the tire off the ground for cleaning and tire repair. I am not bad mouthing the WD but just curious. Is it just a ride off stand?

1L243,
You have asked a good question. First of all my stand will take the rear wheel off the ground for cleaning or removing the tire with just a 3/8ths or 1/2 inch piece of plywood under the feet. A couple of six inch square pieces thrown in the bags might be worth taking along on a road trip. However most of the time the extra effort required to lift the rear tire free of the ground is not needed. The advantage of a stand like mine, which leaves the rear tire in contact with the ground is that you can drive off, even with a passenger on the back. Another advantage to a stand that only lifts a part of the weight off the rear is that you can use the center stand while still on the bike.

Yup, I thought about this and figured that I mostly use the center stand to be able to get more gas in the tank and to load luggage on the bike or sit on it while stopped so it's an advantage to be able to get it on the stand while on the bike. The times I actually need to get the rear tire off the ground is only for cleaning at home so a board will work fine. Good suggestion on keeping couple square pieces in the bags in case of a flat.

Center Stand ?
Hi,
First of all Hello to everyone as I'm new on this Forum !
I've heard about some New Center Stand for Touring and seems that It had been introduced at Sturgis this year ! = It is a Center Stand Hydraulic or Electric that Stands up Automatically with a push on a Button ! There is 2009 Touring Application for that Product and works also on Lowered Bikes !
Has Anyone heard about it ?
As we have many BMW Bikes in Europe, It seems to be a similar system !
In any case I should get some information on it from a friend that know the guy making those in Arizona ! So if any news, I will be posting some updates !

Correct me if I'm wrong but I watched the install video and the Centerstand unit bolts up through the dogbone..So this unit cannot be used with a Bagger Brace or other stabilizer that utilizes the dogbone...correct?
