08' FLHX N WV is an unknown quantity at this point
I had something simialr to once that worked on my truck. I used it when hunting with the intentions of puting a dead deer or bear on it to hual then out of the woods. When the day came to use it for that it worked gerat except for the fact that the heat from the exhaust cooked the critter and runed the hide in about a 10 mile trip. My point is dont haul anything on it that can be damaged by the heat of the exhaust or that might melt. On the other hand dinner was ready when I got home.

that sucks about the deer lol

looks like a pretty sweet piece. I don't have one nor do I have the money for one, but I can imagine it would be pretty darn helpful on long trips

Yeh, was joking with the wife that it looked like a mini deer-hauler and might be perfect for road-kill.
Seriously though, I was thinking of using it for extra luggage &/or camping equipment when on long cross-country trips. My biggest concern was exhaust permeating the luggage contents. My wife suggested rigging a cover-plate to divert the exhaust.
From your experience with your truck do you have any opinions
about these concerns? Thanks.

The sports caddy looks like the beginnings of a nice rifle rack!
