Question 2008 Touring Service Manual

I am perusing the long result list to my "Service Manual" search in the Touring Family General Discussions forum, and while I am weeding through this long list, I would like to know if a PDF of the 08 Service Manual exists. I am installing the SE air cleaner in my garage and it requires the removal of the gas tank.

Dealers have PDF service manuals...quick burn on a CD. Tank removal not required to install air kit.

I put a SE air cleaner on my 08 without removing the tank.

Tank removal? Just had mine off and on this am, never touched my tank. Btw, super simple install for the AC kit....

HD is very protective of those PDF service manuals. I got one several years ago from a guy who was selling em on ebay, Wrote him a few months later to try to get one for my buddy's DWG and the guy said HD had come down on him hard so he wasn't selling em any more. They are really great and are hotlinked everywhere the manual makes a referance to a defferent section...

Okay thanks y'all. Glad to hear the tank can stay on for the AC install. The instruction sheet must be just cautious requiring the tank removal. I will check it out tomorrow when I put it on. Too bad to hear about the Manual not offered as a PDF - back a couple years ago before everyone and their brother was on the 'inTARnet' PDF manuals were easy to come by. Dern.

Use allen wrench to remove the bracket under the tank (3/16" if memory recalls) - like they said, don't remove tank.
