Ultra Com Port Pin Out...

Can anyone verify if this information is correct. I want to try to build a couple of different mic setups for my ultra (Handheld, 1/2 helmet attached Mic only, etc.) and I found the following information. I am hoping someone can verify if the pin outs are correct for an 07.

Ultra Headset DIN Plug Pinout:
Looking at the 7-pin connector with the index groove in the connector at the twelve o'clock position, the bottom pin is #2. So clockwise from the index groove the pins are #6, #1, #4, #2, #5, #3, #7.

6 is the shield/ground (one o'clock position)
1 is the microphone input (three o'clock position)
4 is the microphone ground (five o'clock position)
2 is the speaker ground (six o'clock position)
5 is the left speaker positive (seven o'clock position)
3 is the right speaker positive (nine o'clock position)
7 is the handheld PTT (eleven o'clock position)

Looking at the schematic in the 2007 touring model service manual I see the following

6 NC
1 MIC IN SHARED (-)
4 FRT MIC (+)
5 LFT HDSET SPKR (+)
3 RT HDSET SPKR (+)
7 PTT (on front connector), NC on rear connector
8 MIC SHARED SHIELD

Your numbering is consistent with the manual

What I show above as NC is blank in the manual, and has no connections on the bike side of the connector.

I assumed (prby wrong) that a seven pin was a seven pin. J&M motorcycle audio, www.jmcorp.com 800 358 0881 has connectors/adapters for just about any configuration.

Pin 8 in my list is described as TAB in the manual.

Good luck getting a mic to work! Let me know if you do. I have a throat mic, an dtried a few combinations to get teh PTT to key up the mic, and it never worked right. Started to think that it was my radio. I don't have a hand mic to test it with to be sure. Really would like to get the mic to work and use the handlebar PTT with it.

Is the throat mic wired into the 7 pin connector for console input, if so the hand PTT should work. I will be trying this next week when all my parts come in. Adding cb to a road glide and using the hand PTT with the plug for the headset/mic installed in the fairing.

Not wired at all. It's a small mini plug. I was trying to build an adaptor that would go to the 7 pin H-D plug. Using alligator clips, I tried many combinations to get the polarity right. My voice never showed up on the other CB.

Sent a lot of emails back and forth with the manufacturer. Have their schematics and the HD ones. I am almost convinced I have a bad radio on my bike. Bought it used, and it didn't come with a mic so that is a possibility.
