Whistling noise from front

It could be that whoever installed the lights didn't tighten something down properly. If it is hot in Michigan it could be that your front brake rotor is singing. Just a thought. Mine does after long rides in the heat.

I have a 2005 Road King Classic and suddenly got a similar whistling noise after I installed the fork mounted wind deflectors. It turns out that the extra metal surface along the slot where the windshield quick-mount hardware is created the equivalent of pinching your lips to whistle.

I solved the problem by running a strip of Gorilla tape along the backside of the slot to prevent the wind from coming through and this stopped the whistling dead in its tracks. I tried duct tape at first but it came right off. Your problem may certainly be different but its worth checking out. Good luck 'cause I know that whistling can get mighty annoying.

I used to have a Road King Custom before I traded it in for my Road Glide.

Did you install the Moco Chromed Plastic Nacelle on the front headlight? Or, did you remove the chrome deflector from the top of the headlight (so it looks like a Road King)?

I did both those things, and realized that the plastic chromed nacelle was the culprit. It was a real PIA, IMHO. It drove me crazy.

So, I removed the cheap plastic piece, and purchased this from a company in Southern California.

That piece is beautiful!!! But, it's not cheap either.
Hope this helps.

I've got a 05 RK Custom, I added the passing lamps with the visor trim rings for the headlight and passing lamps. I had a horrible whistling noise and it drove me crazy, never did anything about it until the wife rode with me and she said something about it before we ever got off the street. I stopped and removed the trim ring from the headlight, no more whistling. The wind was blowing through the hollow trim ring causing the noise. `I ended up turning the trim ring over and filled the hollow ring with about a 1/2 tube of silicone all the way out to where I thought it would touch the headlamp. After about a week of drying I reinstalled and that fixed the problem. The heat from the lamp does nothing to the silicone.
