Question about Road Kings and Batwings

A friend of mine has a 2000 Road King and he was wondering if a batwing fairing from an E-Glide would bolt up. If so, what kind of mods would be needed? Has anyone here done it?

I mounted a shovelhead batwing from to my removeable windshield. Found it on ebay for <$100.

I don't think that a newer EG batwing will go right on a Road King. The newer ED and RG batwings have the headlight in it. The wing would have to be modified to fit so that it could go on and off easily.

If your friend really wants a fairing, both of these manufacturers offer detachable fairings for Road Kings.

Thanks Hoot. I told him about Dragon Wings, I'll pass on the links and comments.

I'm thinking after market like the Dragon Wing is the way to go, less stuff to move!

don't forget about Dead Center Cycles

www.deadcentercycles.com

I just got a faring from them. Very nicely made and comes off like a windshield. No bolts to mess with. Just a key to unlock and remove.

I'll post pictures once I get the bike cleaned up from the bike trip I just got home from.

Does anyone have pics of a RK with a batwing and 16" apes? I have been considering it for awhile but don't know how it would work out?
thanks

looks nice definitely a consideration, I really don't like the idea of a radio, no need to interupt the voices in my head! doesn't look stupid with the apes.

That's the Kenny Day fairing, one thing about them I did not like was the fact that they are 4" narrower than the H/D batwing.FYI
