Footpeg location/relocation help, please

OK, the forward controls on my '06 1200C are nice and all that, but sometimes I wish I had the footpegs farther back. Would be more comfortable - or maybe just my imagination.

Is there any remedy for this?

Any ideas?

My 04 1200R has mid-mounted controls and highway pegs in about the same location as your forward controls, and you could trade out your forward controls for a similar setup. I'm guessing you could also replace your pegs with floorboards to give you a little more variety in foot position.

Well, after a lot of web-searching I finally called to ask the Harley-Davidson tech line. They told me that the mid-pegs would bolt right up to my Custom but that they did not have a kit. I would need to order each and every piece thru the parts catalog. Went by my local dealer after work and asked "what do people do with their footpeg setup when they install forward controls"??? Around the corner he comes and says "here". He gave me the complete setup off a new bike that they had just installed the forward controls on.

Heck, that was easy. Now I can bolt them on, and if'n I don't like them, I can always go back.
