How sweet it is.

I quit my job today:finger: and was able to do some of my own work on the bike (5,000mi service @ 4,000mi). It is surprising how little I did made her run so much better, I think is was the platinum plugs, belt adjustment and the clutch adjustment that did it. When I had her in for the 1,000mi and stage1 there were a number of knocks, squeaks and vibes now she is Harley smooth and Harley quiet, why the dealer could not do the few simple things I did is beyond me.

U were leading me down a path at the begining of your thread then you jumped into the deep end. Glad you got some good work done on your bike. Did you quit b/c your employer wouldn't let you tinker on the weekends? Any new jobs lined up? Hard to keep the chrome coming with no income.

No new jobs, but the house is paid for, the new 2005 34’ 3 slide Winnebago is paid for, my 2003 truck is paid for and my new 2005 Sportster is paid for. What more do I need? itting here thinking, I have all kinds of tools that I may sell, along with the house and the truck and hit the road.
It was 20-25 years ago when I did not take sh1t from a boss, drifting state to state (Working when I have to and quitting when I can) and now after all the years of BS from the man I can afford to not take any sh1t so I told them to F off and it felt great.
