Question 1200s

You guys & Gals with the 1200S- Is the bike alot faster than a 1200 not sport model? What about vibration at high speeds? Noticable? Does anyone make a super short exhaust for the 1200?

Talking 1200 "S"

The "S" model sportster is the most underrated of all harleys. With dual
plug heads,10:1 compression,SE cam,dual coils w/single fire ignition,
map sensor timing,data-link computer module, fully adjustable suspension
front and rear[preload, rebound, compression] and triple disk brakes.
I've ridden some other 1200 sportsters and none of them were even close.
I've also ridden some twin cam 88's and they werent even close.
I would imagine a big inch bike would beat it but not sure how big.
100 in, maybe? My "S" pulls away from the crowd at a stoplight at
half throttle, never bottoms out, and stops as well as a 500 lb bike
is gonna. The funny thing is that cost less than a "custom". Personally
I would rather have more"go" than"show", but to some guys chrome
is the greatest thing ever. Seems like a bunch of "followers" all doing
the same thing to me tho.

I have never ridden a 1200S but have heard the same thing. They are underated and does catch a lot of people off guard. It does make more hp and tq but since the gearing is the same as a 1200, you will reach the same top end but at a faster rate.
