Switching to Mid Controls?

Hi,

I have a 2002 XL custom and would like to go to Mid controls w/ highway pegs instead of the forwards. I would rather have a choice of where to put my feet when blasting down the freeway, and I want the better handling you can get with mids for the twisties.

Can I just get the controls and swap them or is there some type of "kit" that I need? It seems fairly straightforward to me, but I'd like to hear from anyone who has done this. (most people seem to do the opposite) I am assuming I can cover the cost of the mids and highway pegs by selling my forwards.

Where would be the best place to get the mids?

I've seen mid controls on ebay. You'll probably get more than enough for your forward controls to cover the cost of the mids.
