National cycle flyscreen

Hello

Didn't get any answers from softail family so let's try here...

Does anyone have any experience with this:

http://www.nationalcycle.com/catalo...Flyscreens.html

Is it any good?

Thanks.

Your link doesn't work, try this one:

http://www.nationalcycle.com/catalog...lyscreens.html

I haven't had any experiance with them, and question just what it's supposed to do...? The wife has a full windshield on her 883 and the rider still gets bugs and wind in the face. Can't imagine that shield doing much unless you're doing 175mph.

Looks good, though. If that's your concern, it appears to be a winner.

Thanks for fixing that link.

My intention is to get rid of some of the wind when riding faster. I'm not even thinking that a shield that small would help me with nothing in slower speeds. Just lookin for conservative, rigid mounted help with the neck stress an a long haul.

I don't think you're gonna get help with neck stress with that little thing. My recommendation would be to spend the extra money and get a good sized, removable windshield and let it really do some good. Then you can take it off when you need to burn up the roads on the short hauls with full wind-in-the-face satisfaction. JMHO...

I've had one for a few weeks now. It's very small, doesn't rise above the handlebars. It does work keeping the blast off your chest, I can still one hand it and relax. It doesn't stop any wind in the face, upside is no upswept beard, downside is no bug protection for the face. Quality is very good,I like the setup, takes 2 bolts to remove. It also makes a great rack for a jacket or bedroll. Everyone I asked about it said it looks cool, I like it..$99.00, good price too.

to fly screen or not to!

put one on mine because i needed to take up some space on the font end. cool little thing, with all it's chrome. but bassically that's about all it's worth. something chromy and cool. no regrets, but wished i would have gotten a bigger one. tired of eating bugs, dust, and rain. soon as i can come up with the money, putting the harley-detachable one with cut outs for driving lights. live and learn
