anyone see the sporty in the June Easyriders

i bought the new issue of Easyriders. The pics arent the greatest but its pretty cool looking. Its a 88 sporty 883 converted to a 1200. the coil looks like it is mounted in between the motor. i cant figure out how he did it. wouldnt the cause the coil to overheat? i like the look but i dont wanna mount my coil somewhere it will easily overheat.

i've been thinkin bout remounting the coil but haven't found a spot i liked.

any ideas?
