I think I'm going to go synthetic
I'm seriously leaning toward using Syn3 when I hit my 1,000-mile service window. It's good for use in all three holes, which sounds convenient to me. Synthetics are about $5 a quart more, however, but proponents say they provide better protection and break down less quickly. But I'm not a gearhead; others may have strong feelings otherwise. You can do a search for Syn3 and find a bunch of threads about synthetics vs. petroleum-based lubes. Your owner's manual should show you how to add tranny fluid. Again, I'm not mechanically inclined and I'm going to let the H-D techs do the dirty work. I just want to ride.
