Tuff Time Finding 04 Sportster Parts
Been talking to everybody about lowering kits, seats, shocks crash/highway bars, exhaust, gas tanks, fenders, daa-da-daa.... and seems that not a soul knows if what they make will fit an 04 sportster, I have all these changes I want to make and even the harley shop has to call the factory to see if there is a lowering kit for the front, although it measures 39mm still (I am told by the shop) they were told that the whole bike including the forks were changed, I will take delivery of the bike in a week or two, and I will know shortly what fits and does not, but I gotta be careful not to void the two year warranty, but my sweet baby can't touch flat foot unless I lower it down a schoash, and she said that I have been workn on my bike for the last two years and I can put it on hold and work on her bike for a while first, and ya know the saying, when mama's happy the whole house is happy, lol, and I like a happy house, (and, fact is..she's right) so if ya got any for-sure data on the 04, let me know.
I did find out that the slip on mufflers for 00-03 Heritage with the cross over tube made by chrome werks (think that's how they spell it) anyway, bolts right up George Miller of Millers of Daytona said that is what they discovered fit perfect with a little spacing to level mufflers, hafta let ya know anything else as I discover it.

G'luck with finding parts for her! With the bike being only a couple months old and was never shared with aftermarket manufacturers until after it's debute, you will probably not be able to find parts for probably at least a few more months.

The easiest thing for the front would be to raise the tubes in the triple trees. That would at least work for now. Just make sure you raise both legs exactly the same. For the rear you may have to see if Progressives for a 2003 will fit.
You could also have the stock seat modified for a lower seat height. You take off the cover, cut and reshape the foam, then reinstall the cover. Worked on my 88 Honda VLX. For a real custom look you could have the whole seat redone in something exotic like snakeskin.

I"m in the same boat. I want a Corbin Hollywood Solo seat, but still not out....I haven't aggressively tried to look for it yet, being I don't have the bike yet..but I will probably have it before the end of the year and I am hoping they release the new stuff for the new sporty soon.

I,m in the same boat so to speak. But found HD is making some nice add ons.
they do have
se and SE2 slip ons. go to the HD home page and then look under parts
you can even make a wish list of stuff you just have to have.
good luck with your new ride.

There are three HD shops within a stones throw from where I'm at here in cent. Fl., two owned by the same people and one in Orlando, Orlando says they have the kit same as the 03 and Clearmont HD where I am makink the purchase says they called the factory and one is not yet being made for the 04, the bike will be here Tuesday and we are told we can pick it up Thursday or Friday, so when I get my hands on it I will be able to get serious about it, because at that point I will be able to take measurments and fit check myself, I will likely raise the tubes up in the trees at first until I am able to confirm a kit for the front forks, and change shocks right away, I have mid glide triple trees ordered from A-Ness and I am NOT going to have fork tubes sticking up out of them, and I have talked with a couple of seat fabricators that say they can cut foam out and add a thin gel insert that will make the seat thinner and softer, so this will likely happen pretty fast, plus I have ordered a set of 18 inch wheels being made for it that will be done Tuesday also, gonna be a busy week I can tell, Anyway I am also ganna look at a couple of fuel cells (gas tanks) and i'll let ya'all know what fits and what is involved in proper fitment if ya like.

If it's anything like the automotive aftermarket it could be a year or 2 before you really see things to start to break open for a new model like that .
