I recently sold my XL Sportster and picked up an 09 XR . I
can't tell you how happy I am with the bike. Most fun on two wheels I've had in a while. I can't get enough seat time on it.
The handeling and performance is unbelivable.
If you can take a test ride on this model .I think HD is discontinuing the XR in 2013. But there are plenty of used ones out there also .

I have an early 2008 and very pleased with it.
Strange move by H-D that they discontinue the XR for 2013.Avoid the bio-fuel. Mine is pinging on 95, runs flawless on 98 octane.

I was kinda pissed they discontinued them in 13 also ?
3 year run on them . I don't know why they werent big sellers in the USA ?
Go figure - Harley guys don't like them .
And sport bike riders didn't either ? ?
Well I'm glad I got one !
I run super in it also 96+ .
Cam 2 once in a while !

I also own a 2009 XR1200. excellent bike, easy to handle and quick to boost. It can also be a sport/tourer. I've taken mine from Dallas to Pensacola...so it can perform double duty when called. try
