Heat related?

My 2009 XL883 died on me twice today, in stop and go traffic. The ambient temp was 90 degrees (Tucson, AZ). It started right back up, bit what a PITA! Does anybody have the same problem with a fuel injected 883?

Do you have alot of weight on the key ring which can wear out the switch? Chech the relay switches under left sidecover for corrosion(green). If corroded then water probably got inside them (fuel pump and ignition). We had to replace all three things on our 2007 1200C.

I've done "Bike Week Phoenix" back in 2004, temps as high as 115 without issue.

Suggest it is not heat related, since it fired right up after shutting itself down. Look elsewhere, as mentioned above.
