Anyone install a RAM mount?

So I've been looking at installing a RAM Mount for my Iron.

RAM Motorcycle Mounts

Has anyone installed one on their sportster and if so, how does it handle the vibration?

What are you using it for?

I've used RAM mounts on my Softail and my Road Glide for my GPS and my GoPro camera without a problem.

I was thinking of getting the iphone kit since I can use GPS on my iphone. I am worried that the bike's vibration will mess with iphone's visibility.

Those things don't move. Used them for sonar and GPS on rough water for a few years, never had to adjust them. Good product.

I've been using the Ram mount that bolts to the brake perch for a number of years now to hold a GPS unit. Works great for me, no movement and easy to see the GPS screen.

Also consider a techmount. I use on for my Power Vision tuner and it's a well built mount.

After you mount up your iphone, ask Siri how she feels about the vibes.

Another thumbs-up for RAM mounts. I've used them for years for GPS and phone. Very sturdy.

I just mounted a ram mount aqua box to hold a garmin GPS and completed 1600 mile trip on my 1992 Sportster. I used the u-bolt mount to handlebars. I have no windshield and rode over plenty of rough roads at highway speeds. Mount worked great. I had to pivot it out of the way to refuel. Only once did it "droop" when I didn't retighten enough.

I've been using two Rammounts for 4 years now. Used to have Chatterbox comm unit on one and a GPS on the other. I got rid of the Comm unit and now have a GoPro camera on it.

We just got back from a 1400 mile trip and the pictures came out great, with no vibration noticeable on either pics or video. I was on a 2011 EGUC so you know there was vibration.

The mounts don't move once you have them tightened down.

As far as this goes, I am curious to see a picture of how you have it setup and where exactly everything is. This sounds interesting to me.

I've mounted the Ram Mount and like its versatility. I sometimes use my very old GARMIN E-map or my newer GARMIN NUVI. I have the proper mount bracket for either and the bottom 6" arm and mount stay on the bike at all times. For the Nuvi, I had a bit of trouble with the Sun making it hard to see the screen, so I made a sunscreen by purchasing an index card holder from Office Depot and cutting the top off and one long side off. Then drilled the holes in the right place on the back to sandwich it between the GPS mount and the Ram mount at the top. Works great and also keeps rain directly off the GPS. At speed there is a bit of vibration on the GPS screen just like I have in the mirrors but it is still readable.
