Halloo. I'm with Nitram onthis. Older bikes are getting harder and harder to find these days, and the "zen" of getting one back on the street again is priceless. See what you can get it for and if not, find somebody who really wants it so they can work a deal on it. Shame to see the poor thing rusting away in a barn.

C.......

I'm with Nitram also. Shifting on the right is no big deal AT ALL, and old Sportys are fun. They do require more maintenance than an Evo or rubber mount Sporty, but they are COOL. Harder to kickstart than a Pan, IME, but fun all the same. It will launch parts occasionally if you don't check every fastener pretty regularly, it will leak... at least I never managed to get my '74 to quit leaking all together.... But they're fun!

See if you can get it out of the barn. Get some good detail pictures. Look it over. Like everyone said 2500 is high. I can fin those all day long here in CO running for that price.

If you can get it for cheap, and you're into restoring history, it's well worth the time and effort especially if it's a hobby of yours and you like wrenching...
