Relocating the front turn signals ?

I bought a set of mirrors and I am going to relocate my Front Turn signals to the forks. Has anyone else done this and if so was it hard at all and is there enough wire on the stock ones to reach. From what I have been told it is a simple clamp that the mirrors bolt to. Is this right.

I did this recently when adding a set of drag bars. Had to lengthen the wiring just a bit, but no big deal really. I also had to get a new acorn nut for the right side mirror.

The best place to relocate them and the rear ones to is a box that you put all yer other take off junk in.

They are required in my state, so this is not an option.

Relocation is VERY simple. I was taking them off some 10" mini-apes, so the wiring (for me) was plenty. I actually could have taken 6-8" of slack OUT of the wiring, but decided to leave it...I just wrapped it up and zip-tied it behind the headlight bucket out of sight.

All in all...a 15-20 minute procedure to relocate the turn signals!

My 883c had plenty of wire with no mods needed, Buddy has a 1200C and we had to add wire to his.

Both Bikes are 2002

Done

Got it done. I used the relocation kit that is supposed to be used if you put on a winsheild. The turn signals look better on the forks and the new mirrors are awesome. Hope to have some new pics soon I have done a lot since the one I have up now.
