hi everyone i need some help, i have a 1998 1200 sportster custum and it will not crank i have a charged battery new spark plugs check static timing good compression getting fuel and the valves move any ideas of stuff i can check will be appreciated thanks in advance
Backfiring through the carbs is an indication of a timing issue(it's not the only one...carb probs is another) You sure you checked it correctly? You could be 180deg off, and think you're spot on.
Did you recently rebuild the top end or something that required you to have the top end off?
