I just had to modify the float arm on my fuel level sending unit in my FI tank because the arm was stuck against the tunnel. The tank definitely has to be made for FI applications. It has to have the hole on the top that accepts the fuel pump and sending unit. The tank has to have enough room for the float arm to operate properly and needs to be of the proper depth for the fuel pump. They also have that hole at the bottom for the fuel line fitting that send fuel, under pressure, to the throttle body. I would definitely make sure whatever tank you get is year/make/model specific for your bike and it's FI application....
