My Sportster Is 03 1200 Custom ,starts Fine When Cold After Riding For Awhile If I Stop It 's Hard Starting.turns Over But Won't Start And Backfires When I Let Up On Start Button.it Was At Dealer Last Week They Couldn't Get It To Act Up .plug,battery Ok .the First Time It Happened,i Was Riding Around Lake Stop For Gas May Fly's Were Thick Thought I May Have Gotten Some In Tank,maybe Plugged Strainer. Any Help Thanks
I have a 2003 1200 conversion. It's usually harder to start hot; I've just gotten used to it. I have to flick the throttle as I'm starting it, and it's usually fine.

Dealer Found 3 Problems With Bike.replaced Voes Switch,petcock Valve And The Ignition Module. Back To Normal Starting ,still Poping When I Let Off Throttle.
