883 valve cover removel

I have a 2001 883 that has an oil leak comming from the valve cover on the rear engine. I have tried to take the cover off with no luck, there isnt enough room between the cover and the frame. Is there a trick to this or does the motor have to be droped down somehow to make this happen?
thanks

Remove top cover, than middle spacer. Spacer is TIGHT, but comes out, sometimes try pulling out from the primary side of the bike.. Then wiggle out the pushrods and remove the lower. Patience as it will come apart.

Which cover are you trying to get off, top, middle or bottom?

I helped a friend change his gaskets on an 883. We had to cut off an allen wrench to get to one allen head bolt. Other than that we were able to remove the valve covers and fix the leak. Good luck!
