silly question

I am a new harley owner. Just bought a 2006 883 and i am wondering where everyone carries ownerships. I have resorted to putting it in my pocket. It there a place on the bike or do I need to buy a sissy bag?

What I'm doing now is keeping the paperwork in a plastic bag in my riding jacket, but I'm about to take my buddies advice and make copies of everything I would need and tape it to the underside of my seat. That way if I need that stuff, or I go out without my jacket, I will have everything I need.

Leather tank panel with pouch...

...always there and handy. Pouch is about the size of a cigarette pack.

Folded neatly and placed in my wallet.

Maybe my state's papers are smaller than the rest of the country, but I just fold up the insurance 'card' along with the registration and slip into the plastic sleeve in my wallet. Our drivers license has an endorsement on it for motorcycle so I only have one license.

I just don't like the idea of leaving the paperwork on the bike. If someone ever steals the bike, why make it easier for them by giving them the paperwork as well?

Carry my papers in my wallet as well. Never have liked the idea of having that on the bike.
