Timken neck conversion 70 XL
I bought a Timken bearing conversion kit for the neck of my 70 sporty as an improvement over the old ball bearing setup. The kit came with two races, two bearings and two dustcovers.
I attempted to install this on the sporty but noticed that the old sleeve (which holds the front end on, and previously acted as part of the race for the ball bearings) only had a couple threads to catch on. Is there a part which replaces the old sleeve on the conversion?
