new here

Hey guys, I have an 06 xl883.Its my first bike and I am not embarrased of it at all. (apparently that is problem for some) I already posted in the introduction section introducing myself. I have been riding a lot latley and getting more comfortable with it. I put a lot of time and money into cars over the past years. Just wondering what type of things you guys have done with your sportsters. Ive seen a few around town with a bunch of cosmetic things done to it. Does anyone here have any photos they would like to share, so i can get an idea of a few things you guys have done to your bikes. (cosmetic/engine work)

Please don't be ashamed owning a sporty. Be proud man! Most guys can't afford a bike period.

Welcome cornerstoretabs. I've only been around here a few months and have found a ton of great info. I bought my first bike in June ('09 883C) and it's a blast. On a tight budget but still wanting some upgrades, some of the things I've done to my bike are drag bars ($30), Rush slip on mufflers (included in price of bike), cheapo saddle bags ($50), and a chrome air cleaner insert ($20 ebay). As far as the "bitch bike" deal..... The Sportster is probably the hardest stock Harley to ride based on a majority of the reading I've done. Top heavy, and the suspension sucks (rides like a bmx). Yet, its a bike made for beginners or women some say.....Pffft.
