Highway peg kit

Hi 'I'm looking at buying the adjustable highway peg kit from vtwin mfg part number 27-1728.Anyone have these and what do you think. They sell for $79.99 us plus $20.00 freight to canada.I phoned our dealer here and he quoted me $ 279.00 plus taxes for genuine Harley. With both sets you have to buy the peg seperate.I do beleive you get what you pay for but I've got to ask.I wonder if the chrome on the vtwin kit will start to peel early on.

The wife has had a set on her 07 1200L for a little over a year...they're holding up well and seem to be fairly well made, she's very happy with them.

pidge, did you purchase the highway pegs? I Have the Harley adjustable highway bars mounted on mine and love them. They're 3 years old and look like they just came out of the box.

Hi,I ordered some pegs and a kit from motostuffinc but did not receive them and it's been over a month now.I ordered and payed through paypal so I'll get my money back.I've just reorered the same pegs through v twin and they should be here in a couple of weeks.I'm thinking that the highway peg is a better idea than the forward controls just because of different leg positions on long rides and more control in the twisties using mid mount.

These are really good pegs. You might want to use a thinner spacer than come with the kit so the bars will not stick out as far from the bike. Depends on what is comfortable to you.

I just sent mine out to be powder coated black.

Personally, I think they are the same thing Harley sells except they are seconds because of some very small machining scratches. Not noticeable.

Got the pegs yesterday and they fit perfect.Atlantaallen I think your right they are the same as harleys but I didn't notice any defects and yes perhaps a thinner spacer.Up here in Canada harley kit is $ 279.00 plus tax and pegs will run about $ 89.00 plus tax. These were $ 139.00 us incl shipping.Feels good to get a deal once in a while.
