never pings and i also have ridden 2 up a couple times and that should have done it if it were going to ping.. temp was low ninty range also. i know they say they have 9.7 compression but i didn't think that would be that much CCP. also using a couple differanrt guages and they are accurate as compared to one of the high dollar guages i also used and was same as what i get from other guages

I would suspect the guage used for testing CCP is a little off, or you have little or no ignition advance.

9.7:1 with thinner base & head gskts. will get you in the low to mid 10' on comp. Sounds like thats where your at. Put on a SE air cleaner & a good 2 into 1, remap & this thing will ROCK!! Fun factor will go through the roof. If you want to really have some fun, convert to chain finnal drive & play with the ratios. I did, lol.

thanks ya i do not like the low gear on the 07 sporty. i changed the ratio on my 07 CVO back to a 3:15 gear and its a lot nicer on the street and works great on the road too.. low gear is nice now and easier in traffice thats slow. the 07 sporty has the same feel in low gear which i so not like so going to have to see what others use that like bettter street manners in low gear and the ability to go slow without pulling in the clutch in heavy traffic so often. would be more fun to when its spooled on too

Convert to 530 chain(real easy) run a 22T on tranny & 51 0n rear. Get a 120 link chain with 2 master links. Put on the 51 & cut chain to length. Get a 48T rear sprocket, cut 1 link out of chain & save it. When you want to play in town use the 51T with the extra link & extra master link. If you want to take long trip, put the 48T on & lose the extra links. There are all kinds of offset sprockets & spacers. This is the best of both worlds set up. Been running one for years. It's so easy on the sportster because you don't have to pull the primary. Go have some fun!!!
