Difference in Deluxe and Fatboy seat attachment.?

Does anyone know what is the difference . My buddy wants a Tallboy HD seat for his Fatty. It is listed as fitting only the deluxe model. Was wondering if it could be made to fit a Fatboy with small modification

I think the difference is the rear of the seat and how it mounts. There is a bracket of the rear of the Deluxe seat with two holes to mount on the rear fender.

Here is a seat I purchased to go on the wifes new Deluxe. It has been cut down and a gel insert added to it but you can see the bracket.

Thanks, I wonder if the rear fender could be redrilled to accept the seat?
