Need help with wife's bike.....
Wife has a problem with the clutch. Her hands are small and not very strong. What do we need to do to help with this problem. She wants to ride her Sportster but after a 50 mile ride it causes so much pain that she can't ride the next day.
Anyone with this kind of problem with any advice.
Thanks

A guy on e-Bay sells a kit that is like the White Bro's Easy Clutch, but for Sportsters.

It makes a difference if the cable/lever/bracket are lubed well. Disconnect the cable from the clutch lever. Clean ALL the pivot points and the bracket, lube with white grease. Lube the cable well {I use "Break free"}, assemble and adjust it to spec.
The hard part is R & R the retaining ring on the pivot pin.

100% agree. Properly adjust the clutch, and lube the heck out of the cable.

Another solution is a variable pressure clutch:

HIPPO sells them, shoot him a PM and he'll fix you up.

Before you invest in a high dollar solution, try the lube. Lub-It8 works great for me. I had same problem. Remove the cable from the bracket housing. Strap it up from the handlebar using ties and let gravity pull it down through the cable.
Works well. Don't fool with the Dri-Slide stuff that some dealers push. Works well for about two weeks then it dries out.

I second the "Lube it" oil pen. The "Easy Boy" clutch kit (20.00) also does wonders. I put that on the wifes bike and I can pull in the clutch with one finger.

Think we got the problem solved. Oiled the &@*& out of it and changed the grips. Went with the 1.3 diameter and that helped alot.
I think this will help out, time will tell.
Thanks again for all the advice....

I should've thought of the smaller grips, that's one of the things we did w/ the wife's bike. Custom Chrome also makes some Ergonomic levers that angle the blade back a bit for those w/ a shorter reach.

EZ clutch works well
My wife had a EZ clutch on her Sporty..cut effort 50% (mechanical gear reduction)..it was a bar mount under the clutch...on her 04 Lowrider, she has a White EZ clutch in the transmission...same effect, cleaner look.
