deuce wheel help

Is there any real good way to clean and prevent pitting on the rear wheel?

Chrome

Actually, that is what I will be doing soon. I own a Deuce. For now I jack up the bike and rub a quality metal polisher like simichrome and apply a coat of wax afterwords.

Prevent pitting; not that I know of (unless you apply clear coat for aluminum.) Manage oxidation, regular polishing. I hear Zoop or similar products will prevent oxidation after polishing but I have not tried them and, for the $$ I will save my money for the chrome.

Never use a product like Bleach White either. That stuff stains the bare metal and some clear coats.
