MajorAdamsPL, I've thought about this since the wife will not ride but I want to add a removable rack for a tour pack for longer rides. Haven't pulled the trigger yet. Would love to see a working set up first if possible.
Ponderopa, No saddle bags either, huh? Don't know if I could go that far myself. I like to carry too much crap! I noticed you still had the passenger floorboards on. Just curious why. I thought I would try to remove my pegs but wasn't sure if it was possible.

This is the stripped down version. It only takes a couple minutes to put bags, tour pak, etc back on. Sorta like having a convertible....

That is how I have my bike set up. I always ride solo and when I bought the Mustang seat, I only ordered the solo seat. I think it looks goods without the passenger seat and sissy bar. Of course, that is one reason we like Harleys, you can make it your own.

hey ya..
I was wondering what other harley wheels are interchangeable with a 2003 flstc, in particular i was wanting to run a 21" up front. I seen some wheels on flea bay to fit a wide glide and was wondering if they would fit. Does anyone have first hand knowledge with interchanging wheels on heritages?

Not me, I love the FL bars with the 2in risers for my '97. I am sawed off at 5ft 9in w/30in inseam so this does me well.

Here's a working set up.
There's also a solo-style rack if desired.

Cool. Thanks. Definitely nice to see, even in the 2-up, but am looking at the solo setup myself.
So that's the removable setup? If so, how long does it take to remove or install?

Since it's detachable it takes only a minute or two to install or remove.

I own a 08 heratige classic, picked her up in jan.2013.I changed oil in it.I went to Royal Purple Max Cycle 20W50,an used there filter. Was this a good choice? Im having a problem checking the oil when its on the jiffy stand.how far over should the bike be? All my metrics were checked with the bike uprite.but harley is different, ive been reading!

I had Apes on my sporty and I'm used to that.
I just got my heritage in December so I don't have much miles on it yet...dang snow. I don't want real high apes...maybe 12 inch or so. Not sure if I have to change cables for that or if stock will be ok. i think I will have to go to a 2+ or 4+ overstock cables, maybe.

I also had issues with the stock Heritage handlebars on my 2007. My hands would go to sleep while riding. The first thing I did was pullback risers..four inches up and two back. That didn't give me what I wanted so I put on a set of medium buckhorns. The buckhorns turned my wrists in instead of straight out so my hands don't go to sleep now and I didn't have to change my cables. Hope this helps.
