Another Oil Puking Thread

My engine just started puking oil onto the oil bag in the last 200 miles (5300+). My friend claims it is coming from the oil temp gauge not forming a perfect seal. I have read too many other threads to buy it. The only thing that supports his argument is that the oil splatter is concentrated/centered near the hole. However there are a few spots on the top of the engine, just behind the air filter cover.

Why would it start so suddenly? I have read about pump alignment, overfilling, warped rocker arms, etc. I am taking it in tomorrow for some other stuff, is it worth mentioning to the service person?

I just replaced the formed rubber hoses supplied in my SE air cleaner kit with standard vacuum line yesterday. The formed hoses were cracked and oil was leaking out and onto my engine. I also replaced the Purge tube fitting port used on the California models since that too was cracked.

Something easy to check. These are located right behind the AC backing plate.

I'll mention it to them at that meeting I'm taking your bike to.,

Just kidding. My best guess would be overfilling, it doesn't take much.
However, I think I remember my oil temp leaking a bit for a while.
Have you checked inside the air cleaner cover to see if it's blow by?
