Deuce stretch-out room! And screw the forward controls! I just want cruisin' comfort!

Enuff already!
I've about had it with all of the boasting about the sweet cruise arms and such that the "fatty" owners (and their ilk) can pop on their rides to achieve their own little eutopia whilst cruisin. Damn, I'd like that, too! At 6'3", I've done enuff web surfin' trying to find something that us Deuce owners could stick on our bikes to acheive the beloved "stretch out" that does NOT include having to throw on the much advertized "forward controls" modification. THE CONTROLS WOULD PROBABLY BE JUST FINE, THANKS! But, I'm looking for a cruise bar!
Oh sure, I've looked at the Kuryakyn "Chrome Mustache", and crash bars of every type. But dammit, there's gotta be somethin out there! I mean, just lookin at the leading frame edge of the bike, down on hands 'n knees, hell there's gotta be something SOMEWHERE that I can hang on my bike above and beyong the EXISTING controls that could offer up a real nice stretch factor.
Or should I just engage an iron shop here? Damn, there's gotta be somethin!!!!!!

Cheers! And thank for the come-backs!

Share it here if you find it, please! I ordered some Kury Akin offset pegs yesterday but now suspect they wont do the trick. I think they mount differently. May need to do some modifications!

Tell me about it!

I'm 6'2" and I feel you pain!! There's gotta be some way to do it. The cruise arms look like a great idea. Can't believe nobody makes something similar for the Deuce. If I wanted crash bars....er, "engine guards" on my scoot I would've bought a bagger.

If you find something, post it!

Went back and did some more digging! Click here for more info. Yesterday I ordered the 12th set down, "Footpeg Offsets" but realized the mounting system was wrong. This morning I called back and cancelled the order and re-ordered the 43rd set down, "Offset Extensions"

They're probably not going to be long enough but it might help. I am only 5'9" and my legs are still too long. I rest the back of my ankles on the stock pegs now. This may/may not help. In my opinion, it's the 4 or so inches of padding behind our asses on the HD seat. I have an HD Solo seat on mine and it still has that extra padding between my butt and the rear fender! ennis

I picked up and installed the off-set extensions this afternoon. They don't add much, maybe 2.5 inches or so but they throw the footpeg further outboard which can add a little more. I tested them out with the bike on the stand as I'm waiting for the lock-tite to do its thing before riding it. The adjustment closest to the frame is just tapered, metal-to-metal so I put some lock-tite on it first.

Here are a pic of both sides. ennis

Nope! If this doesn't give me the comfort that I want than a "Mustage Bar" will be ordered, then installed, and removed per my convenience! ennis

Im 6' 8" and have the same problem. I have the Ness 3" extensions on right now. This summer I will ether put on 2" forward controls for a total of 5" of extension or more likely just have a shop strech the frame 4 inches.
Anyone seen this done?

They sucked! Took them off Saturday afternoon and put the regular pegs back on.

I put the extensions on in a position for maximum leg length. All this did was allowed me to rest the back of my heels on the knuckle of the offset and the shift lever was not all that accessible. (Could've adjusted that too) I fought with the shifter all day.

I will look at a Mustache Bar or perhaps a new seat that will push my butt back closer to the rear fender.

When you find a seat that will do that, make sure and let us know what it is. I've been looking for a new seat that will do that very thing.

That sucks. I was hoping those would be the answer. Ditto about the seat, if you find something please post it.

Man, thanks for the updates. Likely you'll be saving some of us the agony of trying to find something that works. FWIW, I was just out at the Kuryakyn website. They have re-vamped their entire site! Sweet! Lotta flash. Anyway, I was looking for any possible off-set pegs or mounts to hang off the ends of the "mustache bar". I didn't see any. Hmmm.

Ya know, I would be curious to find out if anyone out there hung a set of these - OR - these from Kuryakyn. Seems to me either could work when hung off the frame down tubes.

Anybody with me on this?

I found something the other day similar to the cruise bars (mentioned earlier) that was specific for Sportsters. Try a Google Search for Motorcycle Highway Bars.

2s Wild, I've kinda wondered about putting them things on the down tubes too! First question is would they work and secondly, not too tacky are they? I need comfort.

Yeah, I'd almost be willing to overlook any suggestion of tackiness if the damned things did the trick. Personally, I don't think they're tacky at all. Hell, there's plenty of tackier pieces of chrome-crap we could throw at the bike... like big ole honkin crash bars. Man, that's Deuce Disrespect.
The folks at Harley would likely come hunting ya down to take the friggin bike back!
I may look into a pair of one of those Kuryakyn off-sets. But I fear we are running from the inevitable. Damn.

Cheers!
