Softail clutch adjustment

Most of my expereince has been with the Metrics and I have been spoiled by clutches I can pull with one finger. I now have a Fatboy and am wondering how adjustable the clutch is. The older softatil I rode didn't seem to be so stiff. Does it get easier, other than grow a forearm like Popeye? The only option I can see is that I can bring the handle in closer to the grip.

Advice/opnions?

It's Tough

It's not going to get any better, you could try and lube the cable. White brothers makes a Easy pull clutch thats works pretty well, I busted my wrist last year and it got me back to riding quicker I could have never pulled the stock set up back it's only like $20 dollars.

what Jshuster said...

also, there's the more expensive route and go with the hydraulic clutch that H-D sells.

I've had pretty good luck with reducing the effort by using a cable luber and some high-quality cable lube... also, cleaning and greasing the clutch lever pivots can;t hurt either.
