Swingarm Differences

Wondering what changes have been made and what is compatible with what or what can be converted to fit what. I have an 84-99 frame, I thought Ive read before where guys are using newer swingarms on older frames. I was looking at one today but it had the offset built into the left side and it loos as though if trying to use the old pivot bolt and axis tube, the holes in the swingarm would be too small and dont think theres much there to open them up, and to use the swing arm pivot axle it looks like youd have to use a reducer bushing through the frame then go through the swingarm bearings

I've got an early style frame with a 2002 swingarm on it. I used the early style swing axis tube and bolts. I can't remember for certain whick fork bearings I used. Also have to use the early style shocks

I have the swingarm to match up, havent gotten out there yet to try but the guy said its from an 03, What are the main differences from that and one from 84-99. What needs to be done to be able to bolt it up

So I measured the bushing from the new swingarm 2000+ and its .053" bigger than the pivot bolt used on the 84-99 frame. So either its open up the mounting holes in the frame to accept the bushings to use the pivot axle or get the pivot axis tube like the 84-99 has and use the bolts. Im still waiting on the powdercoater to give back the axis tube so I cant check that against the newer swingarm, and with using the bolts and axis tubes the swingarm bearings are gonna need to be changed too, which Im gonna assume the o.d. of those bearings are the same

I just installed 95 bearings in a 07 200mm swing arm that i
am getting ready to put on my 95 bike. I am making my own wide tire setup. it doesn't look to be a big job. I will need to make a few
new spacers, i think. I won't know for sure till i get the original
swing arm off and try to put the 07 on. I have a Dusce wheel
and tire on now with a 1/2" offset chain drive setup.
