Uncle Salty is reading this now saying WTF is this?
It could mean anything. Better to ask the company selling the kit.

Best to contact a builder and describe your riding style. They will recommend a build based on your desire. There are many good builders/suppliers here on this forum.

I would think, with respect, the best place is hang out and start picking up some understanding of what you want and what you want to talk about to whoever you choose to do work for you. You will need to be prepared for a discussion with him.
But to get ya going, your first question. I would say, in the context you put it in,
Hotrod will be a Go Fast machine. That will be its proirity. Not a long distance cruiser.
Touring will be more power, but in a way that it will be more useable in a Touring machine for long distance touring. Keep learning, ask the questions, so you can get what you want. You dont need to know how to put it in, that is another level entirely.
You will find forums here that address what you are trying too learn. Hang out, get in the different forums, enjoy yourself, and get the info you need.

Are you looking for a kit to assemble yourself or do you want to take your bike to someone and have them do the work? If you are looking to have someone do the work, are you willing to take it across the country or do you want someone local?
