Where have all the softail customizers gone?

Like the title says, Where have all the softail customizers gone to. Or have they jumped ship to the road sofas?

Not long ago you used to see many customized Harley Softails but now they are about as rare as hen's teeth.

Customizing goes in cycles. Not that long ago Softails were the number one seller from the dealership, then Streetglides, now Roadglides. Customizing in the last 15 years went from bar hoppers, to choppers, to baggers, and now the big wheel craze. I wonder what we will see next?

I think people discovered the comfort and versatility of Touring bikes over Softails, not to mention that baggers have been the flavor of the month for oh, I don't know, years now. Baggers will always be in style.....so will rideability. Show bikes will always push the envelopes and have limited mileage. Fads will always come and go too. Clean, design oriented paint jobs and bikes will always be in style. Skulls and single sided paint on baggers will be a great way in the future to date when a bike was built, lol.
