Mechanical Difference in Cross Bones years?

I am looking into getting a cross bones and have a question. Are there any difference in the running gear between the four years they were produced? I was able to take an 09 model for a test ride and fell in love.

I guess the real thing I have not been able to find out is the gear ratios for the 6 spd. Are they all listed as the cruise drive? Are they the same for all years?

I don't believe that there are any differences in gear ratios. The "Cruise Drive" is just Harley's name for the 6 speed that comes stock on the Twin Cam motorcycles from '07 to present (06-up in the Dyna models). I seem to remember that there were some upgrades to the main drive gear bearing from '08 on, so all CrossBones models should have that.... Nice bikes... there were of course some cosmetic changes, but mechanically they should all be very similar...

If I remember correctly, other than very small mechanical changes in part updates, that every bike or automobile gets every year, the only differences are in the speedo, as the 2011 and maybe the 2010 models have a bit different programming. And the hand controls might be a bit different with buttons that don't travel a far.
Essentially they are all pretty much identical.

Well i got a beat on an 2011 model that is for sale. The bike has 100 miles on it so that part is pretty cool. Only problem is the bike is gloss black, i really perfer denim. The price is 13,500!! If i can get this one you will see me grinning all the way down the highway. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Remember to purchase the mandatory pirate gear with maybe a leather jacket containing a skull and cross bones patch. After all it is a crossbones.
